“Unwoken” just means a person who hasn’t awoken their aura, and therefore can’t cast magic of any sort. Most humans are like this, and very very few elves.

Page 35! All that running just to bump into a dead end. It takes a surprising amount of time and energy for Sedo to burn through a thing, even a flammable thing. So, dead end, even for a fire dominant caster.
Ah, the basic aura disruption spell. One of Sedo’s many weaknesses. Good thing only Mages can do it effectively. Too bad he, well, is against a Mage right now.
Spoilers: this will not be the last time an enemy thinks Sedo is down for the count and he catches them off guard. You could say it’s his specialty. Also, surprise fire, another specialty.
